Kids are doing something pretty radical here in Stockholm: they walk a lot.
Maybe because adults walk a lot around here as well. Every day I see different groups of kids walking with their teachers, no matter the weather, no matter the age. Some are at kindergarten level, others are school kids. Must have something to do with the forest school model here in Sweden: basically, as many school activities as possible are held outside in any weather. The Nordic countries actually developed pretty impressive outdoor learning programs in the last decades.
Not just healthy for the mind and body, but also a lot more fun for kids than being carried all day in a car from an indoor place to another indoor place.
